Hoop Evolution – 4 years progress

To most of you this is just a super long video in a sea of many talented performers you see in your newsfeed on a daily basis, but to me – it is everything. I watched myself evolve with my hoop for nearly 4 years while I excelled and achieved all of my goals. I go from a fragile straight haired girl in her kitchen who couldn’t even waist hoop to a dreadlocked, strong, Hoopnotica certified instructor, Hoop Conscious sponsored, professional hoop dancer who has been hired to hoop from coast to coast!! There have been so many ups and downs in my journey, but no matter what, my hoops have been there to comfort me. I have broke teeth out of my mouth (13 oral surgeries), I fractured my foot (9 places), struggled to keep weight on (Celiac disease), and have went through many times of hoop defeat (i.e. “I will never be able to shoulder hoop – ever) – yet I was like a phoenix rising from the ashes and blew through those tough times! I have made countless friends and have so many cherished memories all thanks to my sacred circles (20+ day hoops, 7 led, 2 fire). Through this video you see me transition from my very first hoop which was a ¾ ‘’ 42’’ monster, to smaller hdpe hoops, to my first poly, to my first fire hoop, and to my favorite size hoop – my ½ ‘’30’’ poly. It truly has been an amazing journey!! Thank you to everyone who has been a part of it!!! Evolution
